Chlorine in Drinking Water

Clean, purified water from a Polar Station machine is a great option for kids in place of juice.
These days, the big push is towards filling your glass with what comes out of the tap rather than what comes out of a bottle. But a lot of tap water also contains chlorine. And according to Natural, some researchers have now linked chlorine to both food and environmental allergies. Chlorine in drinking water is a problem.

Using extrapolated data from the 2005-06 US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), scientists at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York have concluded that existing allergies and the rising rate of new allergies are associated with chlorine exposure from sources that include municipal water.

Specifically, they discovered that adults who had high levels of chlorine by-product called dichlorophenol in their urine were 80% more likely to have a food allergy than those who had little or no dichlorophenol in their urine. They also found that those with the highest level of dichlorophenol were at greater risk than those with lower levels of having both food and environmental allergies.

At Polar Station, we take pride in the fact that our water and ice vending machines use only local sources. But because we also believe in offering only the purest, most healthful products to consumers, our kiosks use a multi-stage filtration system that also includes a dechlorinator to process municipal water.

Our vending machines allow you to invest in two priceless resources: water and the good health of both your community and the environment. So if you’re looking to start a business that you can feel good about and that offers an excellent way to make a passive income, contact us!
